Layly

Located in the lovely Outer Richmond district, Layaly is locally renowned for both its delicious Mediterranean cuisine and wonderful wine. Even in a city known for excellent Mediterranean food, Layaly stands out as the place to go.

Fans of Mediterranean food will find all of their favorites on the menu, including a variety of kebabs, wraps, and salads, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Connoisseurs know to judge a Mediterranean restaurant first according to the quality of the Baba Ghanouj, and Layaly passes this test with flying colors. Layaly's hummus and tabouli, prepared in a traditional fashion, are also excellent.

Along with the classics of Mediterranean cuisine, Layaly also has a few specialties like the “Layaly Mix Grill”, which consists of Kofte (a mix of ground beef and lamb), a kabob of chicken, beef, lamb, and shrimp, with onions and peppers, all served with a delicious helping of rice and grilled vegetables. Also popular among regulars is the grilled salmon wrap, which is served with fresh vegetables, Tahini and tartar sauce. For vegetarians and others who are seeking healthy options, Layaly has a variety of tasty, satisfying offerings to match every taste. Truly the kind of food that makes you want to share.

The casual vibe of the restaurant fit will make you want to sample a glass of Layaly’s excellent wine (the Zinfandel is a customer favorite), which will no doubt pair well with whatever you order. For the coffee lovers, Layaly serves Turkish-style coffee, a delicacy not easy to find in the city.

Fitting for the neighborhood, the service at Layaly is friendly and inviting, without fuss. Servers are more than happy to provide descriptions for the uninitiated. Call ahead for reservations or simply walk in for a nice lunch or dinner.
